jtnaturephotography.com reflects the tools and techniques that I personally use in my nature photography - from equipment to image capture, to image display. Want to know how to take great pictures that have your friends wondering how you got to be such a great photographer? I'll share the information you'll need to know in my eBooks, covering topics like photographic technique, image composition and PhotoShop lessons, to name a few. Whether you shoot film or digitally, you'll find the tools here to help you capture better images.

Remember that with photography there is almost always more than one way to skin a cat. The tips and techniques that are on this website are the ones that I use because they work for me. Photography is about discovery and "finding" the image that works. So in your journey of discovery if you find a technique that works better for you, then by all means use it - and share it.

Photography is exciting - what stirs me most is nature and being a part of it. The stillness of the dawn, as the sun rises over the horizon and paints the sky in myriads of different colours and tones; or following a lioness across the scorched African landscape as she tends to her cubs. Perhaps it's portraiture, architecture or a family gathering that motivates you to pick up a camera. Whatever it is about photography that excites you, I hope you will find a tool on this site that will inspire and motivate you to go and search for that perfect image again - perhaps in a way that you hadn't considered before.
